Driven by a Passion to Organize and Create
When Patrick and I create one-of-a-kind Custom Leather Aprons for clients, our process includes an in-depth video consultation so we understand exactly what you need for your craft and your workspace. We spend a lot of time getting to know you. In that spirit, we’re sharing a little more about us with our clients and friends like you. Patrick did a Q&A here. This week, it’s my turn.
Born into a family of doers and makers, I have been selling my own custom work since I was 12. Organizing is one of my big passions; check out the purses I designed very much with organization in mind. I also love to make things besides leather goods. OK, here goes:
What’s your favorite place you’ve ever traveled? Why?
I love to be anywhere in blue water. Our trip to Hawaii , we went to say “thank you” to my best friend, Tina, and Patrick’s sister Marie for setting us up on a blind date and to tell them that we were going to get married. Even if we went back, our friends and family are no longer there, it would never be the same.
What was the last thing you read?
I read anything on self-help or organizing, creating.
What are you listening to?
LOL, it drives my family crazy that I can go years without ever turning on music. My reply is there is so much planning, creating and problem solving going on in my head I can’t hear the music. Or, I am singing in my head I don’t need the music.
What are you watching?
I love home improvement shows, DIY, cooking, anything creative.
What is your favorite time of day?
I am a morning person. I enjoy my alone time to center myself and thoughts before it gets crazy. My happy place is coffee on my porch swing outside in the warm sun
What are you most proud of in the last year?
That having a working website and our video fitting process in place before COVID-19 enabled us to not miss a beat with connecting with our clients.
What household chore do you actually enjoy?
Organizing. When I enter a room, that is the first thing my mind goes to, how can I make this better and how can I do that. I am realistic that I have more pressing things to accomplish first, but it’s always in the back of my mind.
If you had all the time in the world to master a skill, what skill would you like to master?
Hiking the Appalachian Trail also the Buckeye Trail in Ohio.
If you weren't handcrafting leather goods, what other job would you like to try?
Organizing rooms to increase workflow and productivity.
What is the last picture you took with your phone?
The final test run of wedding hair for our daughter. I am doing her hair on her wedding day and making her wedding cake, and we just finished making her wedding flowers and plans for the outdoor arrangements. I will hem her wedding dress also. This is her first dress we are not customizing.
